All treatments have their role in modern health, and even drugs and surgery have a place (such as emergency trauma). But, when possible, we should always start with the safest, most natural and most gentle approach first. This way we can support the body’s natural wisdom to restore balance, treat disease, and heal itself. We recognize that the mind, body, emotions, spirit and environment are all part of a single whole person.
Since nutrition factors into nearly all major conditions, much of the current emphasis on drugs and surgery should be replaced with nutrition (and other lifestyle changes). And in most cases, nutrition can provide the same benefits---effectively, at less cost, without a prescription, without wasting time calling doctors or pharmacies, and with little risk of complications or dangerous side effects.
Mark can also work with your physician
to evaluate continued use of prescription drugs, but does not support stopping use of your medicines without physician evaluation.
Supplements and Other Therapies
The best source of nutrients is food, but vitamin, mineral and essential fat supplements can be useful for some people. On the other hand, multiple supplements, pills or powders cannot replace a healthy lifestyle. While Mark supports the use of herbs, homeopathic remedies and other holistic treatments, he cannot provide counseling on these topics. Mark recommends you consult a qualified practitioner.
